What is Neuropathy ?

Neuropathy is a group of conditions that affect the nerves outside of the brain & spinal cord by which all the nerves are affected and ultimately it cause problem for functioning our body part like hand , legs heart etc. It is most dangerous for the people having Diabetes and Blood pressure it has often seen the people having High BP and Diabetes they have Neuropathy Problems. If any person having high Diabetes and Blood Pressure Neuropathy symptoms they are advised to consult to doctor immediately.

These tips will help you to overcome the Neuropathy problem.

  • ·        Everyday exercise is must required. Exercise does not only relieve pain, but also improves mood. Things like walking, gardening, doing household chores and doing lighthearted activities come in the exercise itself.
  • ·        Take care every evening, gently clean your feet, dry them and apply moisturizer. Regularly check for blisters, bruises and wounds on the feet. If there are any wounds on the feet and it is late to heal, then go to the doctor without delay.
  • ·        If you are struggling with diabetic neuropathy then smoking can be dangerous for you because it increases the troubles of the feet. Apart from this, pain also increases with smoking and consuming alcohol also.
  • ·        Buy a pair of good shoes. Your shoes should be comfortable. Do not wear high-heeled shoes.
  • ·        It is also necessary to adopt healthy eating to control blood sugar level:
  • ·        Eat less sweet and oily ghee.
  • ·        Eat in small amounts but at a time difference, eat at least five times a day.
  • ·        Eat more and more fruits and vegetables.
  • ·        Avoid fruit juice because it contains less fiber and more sugar.
  • ·        Eating small amounts of fresh fruits like berries, oranges and apples is beneficial.
  • ·        Avoid high carbohydrate vegetables like potatoes and corn. Include fiber-rich spinach, vegetables like green salad. But yes, eat all vegetables in limited quantity.
  • ·        Avoid processed things like chips and biscuits as much as possible.
  • ·        Doctors also recommend some therapy to prevent peripheral neuropathy.
  • ·        Transcutaneous Electric Nerve Stimulation (TENS) During this process, electric current is given by placing electrodes in the body.
  • ·        Physiotherapy also helps a lot in relieving neuropathic pain. You can consult your doctor about this.
  • ·        Apart from this, some yogasanas also help in increasing blood circulation in the feet. If you do not have yoga experience, you can consult a certified yoga instructor. Yoga not only relieves pain, but it also helps to keep you active. This also reduces stress, which makes you more aware of your health.
